Can Poetry Be In Motion?
Some of my students' performance in dramatizing the Form 1 poem - The River, that I managed to record. This is one of the reasons why I choose Poetry Dramatization as my research interest.
The Hunting Part 2
I have spent one whole day for the hunting of the articles.
2 types of sources; Primary & Secondary

The Poem
THE RIVER
The River’s a wanderer,
A nomad, a tramp,
He doesn’t choose one place
To set up his camp.
The River’s a winder,
Through valley and hill
He twists and he turns,
He just cannot be still.
The River’s a hoarder,
And he buries down deep
Those little treasures
That he wants to keep.
The River’s a baby,
He gurgles and hums,
And sounds like he’s happily
Sucking his thumbs.
The River’s a singer,
As he dances along,
The countryside echoes
The notes of his song.
The River’s a monster
Hungry and vexed,
He’s gobbled up trees
And he’ll swallow you next
This is the poem that I need to teach my Form 1 students. I have also used the recitation of the poem by the poet herself.
Valerie Bloom? Who is she/he?
When I first heard her name, I was clueless who the person was. When I browsed the internet, this is what I have found last 2 years... So, let's get to know the person....
Valerie was born in 1956, first came to England in 1979, and is now based in Kent, but continues to travel around the UK and abroad adding to her thousands of performances, workshops and school visits. Her poetry has become widely known through her books, those of her own poetry and anthologies she has edited, plus a novel, and she was commissioned to write a poem on Celebration for National Poetry Day 2002. At last count, her poetry had been printed in over 250 anthologies, as well as appearing frequently on television, stage and radio.
Hunting for the reading materials begins.....(again) Part 1
After for more than 1 month I stopped doing my e-portfolio, the search begins again...it is not that I don't do anything, but as a digital immigrant, it somehow really takes my energy out to do this...hehehe...jus to share what i have been reading so far...

Pheww...An Interesting Web For Poetry In Motion
Alhamdulillah, i have found an awesome and informative video from an interesting website for my research - TeachingChannel.org. It is related to what I am currently doing, it is about Poetry In Motion :)
Teaching Channel is a video showcase—on the Internet and TV—of inspiring and effective teaching practices in America's schools. It aims to :
• Build professional learning resources that teachers want
• Deepen and improve opportunities for teacher learning.
This is the video that has made me atrracted :
